The Art & Patterns of Music

Music is a language. This beginner-friendly course introduces the language and theory behind the music you love, alongside technique to give your playing mastery. Learn the art of scales, chord progressions, and harmonies, while perfecting your posture, finger placement, and artistic expression.

    • Music theory - understand the science behind scales, progressions, harmonies, and rhythm

    • Train your Ear - practice exercises and strengthen your ear for music, learning how to recognize notes, melody, and chord progressions, and play any song on your own

    • Accompaniment - acquire skills to accompany melody with left-hand accompaniments using various chord structures

    • Technique - build your posture and playing technique, together with the art of musical expression beyond the written notes 

    • Group - our small group lessons offer opportunity to practice ensemble skills, get peer feedback and motivation and build performance confidence

  • Level: Beginner - Intermediate

    Note: Students must have a piano at home for practice

  • This course gives a solid basis of music theory and piano technique to beginners, as well as intermediate players who are looking to understand the music they play so they can build on it and recreate it independently. If you’re interested in music and looking to gain a thorough musical foundation alongside piano playing skills, this course was created for you.

  • Students will leave with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills to play, read, analyze, and understand contemporary music, enabling them to figure out new songs with confidence, play by ear, and continue their musical journey with greater creativity and independence.

Rikki Mozes

Rikki is a musician and educator whose teaching is rooted in a deep love for music and a commitment to musical excellence. Her journey began with piano and music theory studies at a young age and has continued through years of dedicated training across a variety of educational platforms, including Berklee College of Music. Equally skilled in classical repertoire and playing by ear, she has led bands and performed in diverse musical settings. Rikki’s instruction is built on the principle that true artistry consists of strong technique, discipline, and persistence. She encourages students to approach music with both curiosity and determination, recognizing that true confidence emerges through consistent effort and meaningful achievement. Combining high standards with genuine warmth, she creates an environment where students feel inspired to grow, embrace challenges, and discover the full depth of their musical potential.
